Maple Valley

Twenty-two miles southeast of busy downtown Seattle is a town Family Circle calls one of the top ten welcoming cities in the country, as well as one of the top ten safest places in Washington – Maple Valley.   The Maple Valley Historical Society lovingly preserves the artifacts representing the area’s history in two historical museums, while new commercial growth is seen in the “Four Corners” part of town. Gaffney’s Grove city park has it all, with long grassy playing fields, an arboretum, and a swimming beach, while the Green to Cedar River Trail hosts hikers, birders and other lovers of the natural world. For a charming small-town feel a world away from the metropolis of Seattle, you can’t beat Maple Valley.
